Seminar on Academic and Industry Partnership on Foundation Day
NIST organised a seminar on "Academic and Industry Partnership" on 18th September 2022 on the eve of FoundationDay Celebration. The seminar featured distinguished speakers Shri Rtn Er Aditya Choudhury, State Coordinator, MO College and Ms. Sanjogita Mishra, Project Manager (Odisha), TATA Community Initiatives Trust.

Distinguished Alumni Award 2022
NIST honored Colonel Nikhil Kumar (BTech, ECE, 2001-05 Batch) with DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD for his seminal contributions and service to the Nation on the eve of FoundationDay Celebration. He joined Indian Military Academy (IMA) after graduating from NIST and got commissioned into IndianArmy in 2006. During his 17 Year Career, he has served in J&K, Western and Northern borders and also in United Nation Peace keeping Force in West Africa in Civil War affected country. Colonel Nikhil Completed his Post Graduation from IIT Kharagpur and is presently Commanding a Unit in Indian Army.

NIST celebrated its 26th Foundation Day
National Institute of Science and Technology - Autonomous celebrated its 26th Foundation Day today. It was the day to remember, cherish, recognize and reward the achievers. The illustrious 26 years have seen NIST contributing to society by giving ethical engineers and research insights. We celebrated it with assurance in the august presence of Shri Chandra Sekhar Sahu, MP, Berhampur as our Chief Guest, Shri Bikram Panda, MLA Berhampur as our Guest of honor, Dr. Satya P Das (Courtesy Faculty, University of South Florida, USA) and Dr. Lakshmi K. Tripathy (Regional Director of Education, Berhampur) as our keynote speakers, Er. Bimal Kumar Mishra, Governing body Member, Shri Rtn Er Aditya Choudhury , Mo college state coordinator, Ms. Sanjogita Mishra, Project Manager (Odisha), Tata Community initiatives trust.On the eve of Foundation Day, various seminars on the goals and ideals of the institute continued throughout the day in the campus, including research and innovation, start-up and industry coordination, academic and industry collaboration. Different clubs also organized various social and technical events. In the evening the cultural program is also conducted where 100+ alumni members were felicitated with gold, silver medals, Star and Distinguished Alumni Awards.

Startup Odisha Yatra 2.0 Boot camp at NIST
A workshop on Idea Generation & Idea Pitching to the blooming pioneers in the pursuit of entrepreneurship in Startup Odisha Yatra 2.0 Boot camp at National Institute of Science and Technology - Autonomous. Officials from Startup Odisha presented the opportunities available from government to support the entrepreneurs or the tech innovators with a viable idea. The Boot camp concluded with an interaction with high-tech innovative ideas, pitched by students.
